Mary likes the new furniture too, shame she can’t be a feature of the stand!

Vintage luggage labels as found through Present & Correct’s link. These are my favourites and remind me of the colours that I look for when making my boozy bunnies

The Bloomsbury Festival

fd3

This weekend saw my installation of Bloomsbury to Sussex for the Bloomsbury Festival at Maggie Owen’s spectacular shop on Rugby Street, Bloomsbury. After a very long journey navigating through Friday traffic my wonderful cousin and I built the three dimensional box display on Maggie’s floor in the dark of night with Roland supervising us and plying us with bountiful cups of tea and sesame snaps. We crept away into the night leaving Maggie to return and discover the window.

After some superb styling from Maggie the next morning the result was this, I was over the moon with how it looked and so grateful to Maggie for allowing me to be involved.

She has a wonderful eye for pulling things together and creating running narratives through her displays and her shop is a true London gem tucked away in Rugby Street (opposite where Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath lived no less) and is well worth a visit, plus she has some beautiful new pieces for Christmas in there too. Visit her at www.maggieowenlondon.com and 13 Rugby Street to find a truly innovative and stunning piece of jewellery for yours, or someone special’s collection
